Marissa Dechant joined the ATS staff in October 2018 as executive assistant to Frank Yamada. Her responsibilities include coordination of meetings for the ATS Board of Directors and other groups convened by the executive office, including the ATS/COA Biennial Meeting. She is also responsible for general administrative support and strategic communications on behalf of the executive director in coordination with the communications team.
Before coming to ATS, Dechant worked as a staff writer for The Derrick and The News-Herald in Oil City, Pennsylvania, covering the City of Franklin, crime and courts, and religion beats. A native of Franklin, Pennsylvania, she is a graduate of Clarion University with a communications major, a concentration in journalism, and a minor in creative writing.
